We are hiring a Lead Python Software Engineer who is dedicated to achieving high engineering quality, is committed to skills development, and applies their expertise at work. This role will focus on Python-based solutions vital to the Commercial Systems unit, which consists of seven engineering teams collaborating closely across the organization.
The Integrations team, in particular, manages the automation of SAAS user management and onboarding of new data sources for our data mesh. Their work involves designing and operating Python solutions to manage SAAS seat management and track expenses across applications, as well as integrating various internal and external data sources using open-source ETL tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop engineering solutions leveraging Python
- Collaborate with colleagues on technical designs and code reviews
- Deploy and operate team-developed services
- Depending on seniority, mentor and guide peers
- Promote and implement great engineering and organizational practices
Qualifications:
- Exceptional academic track record from high school and university
- Undergraduate degree in a technical field or significant relevant experience
- Proven experience in Python software development
- Proficient in professional written and spoken English with strong presentation skills
- Result-oriented with a personal drive to meet commitments
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events (up to two weeks long)
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in performance engineering and security
- Familiarity with Airbyte, Ranger, Temporal, or Trino
