The Commercial Systems unit consists of five engineering teams collaborating closely on essential services that drive Canonical's business. A significant focus will be on the Integrations team, responsible for automating SaaS user management and onboarding new data sources to the data mesh. The role involves designing and operating Python-based solutions to streamline SaaS seat management and develop integrations that facilitate data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop engineering solutions leveraging Python.
- Collaborate on technical designs and participate in code reviews.
- Deploy and operate team-developed services.
- Mentor and provide career development feedback based on your seniority.
- Promote best engineering and organizational practices.
Qualifications
- Exceptional academic track record (high school and university).
- Undergraduate degree in a technical field or a compelling alternative path.
- Proven experience in Python software development.
- Proficient in professional written and spoken English, with excellent presentation skills.
- Result-oriented with a drive to meet commitments.
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events (up to two weeks).
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience in performance engineering and security.
- Familiarity with tools such as Airbyte, Ranger, Temporal, or Trino.
