About the Job:
The role of a Salesforce Engineering Manager, Commercial Systems at Canonical is an exciting opportunity for a technologist passionate about Linux and Ubuntu. This position allows you to lead engineering efforts within the Commercial Systems unit, which is vital to Canonical's business operations. The Salesforce team focuses on developing and configuring Canonical's Salesforce instance, providing a first-class experience to the Sales and business operations teams.
As an engineering manager, you will have senior-level engineering experience in Salesforce, demonstrating a commitment to high engineering quality, continuous improvement, and skill development. Your role will include leading a team of engineers, enhancing established processes, collaborating on designs, and offering Salesforce expertise across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of engineers delivering solutions using the Salesforce platform.
- Seek improvements to established processes and engineering solutions.
- Collaborate on business analysis and technical designs.
- Provide Salesforce subject matter expertise to business customers and cross-functional teams.
- Deliver engineering solutions leveraging the Salesforce platform.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
- Experience with Salesforce development and integrations.
- Experience as a hands-on engineering manager or team lead.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to collaborate remotely with a diverse set of team members.
- Must be able to travel internationally for approximately 2-4 times a year, for one week at a time.
Additional Skills:
- Experience as a software developer in a high-level language (preferably Go or Python).
- Experience in a business role such as sales, finance, or operations.
