Position

Canonical is seeking an experienced Python developer with a background in MongoDB to help build a fully managed MongoDB solution based on Juju. As part of a small MongoDB team, your contributions will have a significant impact on both the product and the broader ecosystem. You will be tasked with enabling high-performing, secure MongoDB deployments across various platforms and environments including machines, VMs, public cloud, and Kubernetes.

Who You Are:

  • You are a passionate senior Python programmer eager to work on challenging projects within mission-critical environments.
  • You have experience in operating and managing MongoDB clusters.
  • You are familiar with modern infrastructure deployment automations or traditional Linux system administration, operations, and package management.
  • You are committed to quality and automatic testing.

At Canonical, we pride ourselves on our remote-first culture, which has been established since 2004. We offer a competitive salary, the flexibility to work from any location, and the opportunity to focus on impactful open-source projects.

Canonical values diversity and strives to foster an inclusive workplace free from discrimination, encouraging individuals from various backgrounds to contribute to the world of Ubuntu.
