About the Job:
Canonical is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to build next-generation private cloud infrastructure, integrating KVM, Ceph, and SDN technologies for mission-critical cloud services tailored for edge and core enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with experience in leading high-quality microservice architectures and possess expertise in Linux kernel, virtualization, storage, and networking.
As an engineering manager, your role will center on effectively leading a remote team, fostering talent development through coaching, mentoring, and hands-on career guidance. You’ll be responsible for managing expectations with various stakeholders and further advancing modern software development practices. Key involvement in the engineering process is expected, such as participating in code and architectural reviews.
