Position

The Systems Integrations Engineering Manager role at Canonical is an exciting opportunity for a technologist with a passion for Linux and Ubuntu. This engineering management position involves overseeing a team responsible for integrating business systems to ensure reliable data flow and automate processes across the company. The team works with popular SaaS solutions like Salesforce, NetSuite, Greenhouse, and GSuite, utilizing technologies such as Python, Go, Airbyte, and Temporal. This role is ideal for someone with prior software engineering experience, a commitment to high engineering quality, and a desire to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and hire a team of software engineers.
  • Design and deliver engineering solutions using Go, Python, and open source tools.
  • Seek improvements to established processes and engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate with business customers to understand their data and integration needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a software developer in Python.
  • Excellent understanding of integration patterns.
  • Experience as a hands-on engineering manager or team lead.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work remotely and stay organized in a diverse, fully remote environment.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for work approximately 2-4 times per year.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

  • Experience as a software developer in Go.
  • Background in a business role (sales, finance, or operations).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
