Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Migration Senior Project Manager to lead our cloud migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, cloud technologies, and strategic planning. This role requires a dynamic leader capable of managing complex projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring a seamless transition of our infrastructure to the cloud.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage end-to-end cloud migration projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement cloud migration strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership, IT teams, and business units to identify requirements and expectations.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure project success.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate and manage resources effectively, including personnel, budget, and technology.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on project performance, including milestones, deliverables, and KPIs.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of project managers, architects, delivery leads, engineers, and analysts, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Documentation: Ensure comprehensive project documentation is maintained.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to meet high standards throughout the migration.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in cloud migration.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum of 12-15 years of project management experience, particularly in cloud migration projects.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), virtualization, and infrastructure management.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving abilities.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Industry-specific experience.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to cloud migration.
