Windows 365 System Administrator

We are urgently hiring for a Windows 365 and Azure VDI Administrator at Capgemini in Dubai. This role is pivotal in managing and maintaining our virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions, including Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in deploying, configuring, securing, and optimizing virtual desktop environments to support our organization's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Windows 365 Administration:

  • Manage and administer Windows 365 cloud PCs, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
  • Provision and manage cloud PCs for end-users, including configuring desktop images, user profiles, and policies.
  • Monitor Windows 365 service health, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure uninterrupted service.

• Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Administration:

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop environments to meet organizational requirements.
  • Manage host pools, session hosts, and virtual machines (VMs) in Azure, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
  • Implement security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), network security, and compliance policies within AVD.

• User Management and Support:

  • Provision and manage user accounts, profiles, and access permissions across Windows 365 and AVD environments.
  • Provide tier 2 and tier 3 support for virtual desktop-related issues, troubleshooting problems and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with end-users to understand their requirements and optimize their virtual desktop experience.

• Integration and Migration:

  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Windows 365 and AVD with existing on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Plan and execute migrations of desktop environments to Windows 365 and Azure VDI, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.

• Monitoring and Optimization:

  • Monitor performance metrics, capacity utilization, and resource allocation of Windows 365 and AVD environments.
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization activities to enhance virtual desktop performance and user experience.

• Documentation and Compliance:

  • Document configurations, procedures, and policies related to Windows 365 and AVD administration.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security standards, data protection regulations, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• 4-5 years of hands-on experience in administering Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
• Strong understanding of virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) concepts, architecture, and technologies.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Active Directory, Azure networking, and Azure Security Center.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Windows 365 Fundamentals
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty
• Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
