About the Job
The IT Manager - Financial Planning role at Core42 involves managing and administering IT financials, chargeback, contracts, licenses, vendor management, agreements, subscriptions, and SLAs. The role requires monitoring and tracking both OPEX and CAPEX spend to ensure budget adherence and identify optimization opportunities. Core42, as the UAE's national-scale enabler for cloud and generative AI, aims to facilitate public sector and large enterprise transformations through its specialized capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and monitor the IT budget, including operating budget and CAPEX projects
- Prepare IT budgets and forecasts; track spends for all IT initiatives
- Oversee IT procurement processes in coordination with Accounting and Procurement
- Initiate, track, execute, and monitor IT contracts in coordination with Procurement and Legal
- Design and execute processes necessary to plan, record, analyze, and report on IT financial conditions
- Identify ways to enhance efficiency, reduce IT costs, enhance revenue generation, and improve service offerings
- Build strategic relationships with vendors and identify unique opportunities for partnership
- Provide analysis and financial leadership for decision making on new services, pricing, and business development
General Management Consulting
- Provide high-level analytical support and manage day-to-day IT spending
- Report on service utilization and maintain contracts and service logs
- Lead continuous improvement of IT Supplier Relationship Management processes
- Manage the overall performance of IT vendor contracts and ensure SLAs are met
- Liaise with procurement on IT sourcing cycles in line with company policies
- Support vendor selection, negotiations, and overall operations strategy
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify strategic initiatives for expansion and cost reduction
- Ensure timely renewal of IT contracts and conduct regular reviews for cost reduction
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, finance, or a related field
- Strong IT knowledge and financial reporting knowledge
- 10-12 years of experience in Finance, Economics, or IT management
- Vendor and contracts management experience preferred
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially spreadsheets
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good presentation skills and ability to work independently
- Strong collaboration skills with an ability to influence
- Understanding of project management methodologies
- Strong written and spoken English
