About the Job
The Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, execution, and finalization of IT projects according to strict deadlines, while ensuring that they remain within scope and budget. This role involves coordinating resources, managing stakeholders, and making certain that project deliverables align with business goals. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with senior team members to gain experience and progressively take on greater responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with business goals.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and documentation.
- Track project milestones and deliverables, and report project progress to stakeholders.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
- Facilitate communication between IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors.
- Support resource allocation to meet project demands.
- Identify potential project risks and issues, and escalate them to senior project managers.
- Assist in implementing mitigation strategies for risks and addressing issues that may impact project timelines or quality.
- Prepare project status reports, meeting minutes, and other project-related documents.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure all project records are updated.
- Assist in tracking project expenses and ensuring projects are delivered within budget.
- Provide regular updates on project financials to senior managers.
- Help ensure project deliverables meet the agreed quality standards.
- Assist in conducting post-project evaluations and implementing improvements for future projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or related field.
- 6-8 years of experience in project management or IT-related roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Planview, Jira, Trello).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and software development processes is a plus.
- Certification in Project Management (CAPM or PMP) is a plus.
Skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Basic knowledge of risk and change management.
