QA Team Lead

As a QA Team Lead at Deriv, you will be based in our vibrant office in Dubai’s Business Bay, an exciting place known for its ultramodern architecture, luxury shopping, and rich cultural experiences. You will be at the heart of Deriv’s global operations, leading and mentoring a skilled team of QA engineers. Your primary focus will be on implementing effective testing strategies and ensuring quality is embedded throughout the development process.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Guiding a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
• Designing and maintaining test frameworks that align with product goals.
• Collaborating with developers and stakeholders to ensure high-quality standards across all platforms.
• Leading the automation of testing processes using the latest tools and technologies.
• Establishing QA metrics to track progress and measure success.
• Instilling a security-first mindset within the team to protect our products from potential threats.
• Staying informed about the latest trends in QA and test automation.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, Cypress, or Appium.
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycles, continuous integration, and delivery practices.
• Experience with low-code automation platforms and AI-based testing tools.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in agile teams.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

What’s Good To Have:

• Experience in the fintech industry or with financial trading platforms.
• Certifications in software testing or agile methodologies.
• Technical skills outside the test automation domain, such as Linux system administration or database administration.
