The Security Platform Engineer is a seasoned subject matter expert responsible for facilitating problem resolution and mentoring for the overall team. This role encompasses operational security tasks such as performance and availability monitoring, log monitoring, security incident detection and response, security event reporting, and content maintenance (tuning). You will be responsible for detecting and monitoring escalated threats and suspicious activity affecting the organization's technology domain.

Key Responsibilities:
- Experience with Palo Alto Firewall and SASE is a must.
- Work as part of a 24/7 team on rotational shifts.
- Handle Platform and Content Engineering tasks including tunings, stakeholder requests, escalations, and training.
- Administer the organization's security tools to gather logs from the environment.
- Perform lifecycle management of supported security tools/technologies, including break-fix, patching, and live updates.
- Document and implement best practices.
- Identify opportunities for automation to assist the incident response team.
- Manage security incidents from detection through incident resolution, utilizing a variety of skills including endpoint protection, malware analysis, and network forensics.
- Maintain records of incidents and conduct root cause investigations.
Knowledge and Attributes:
- Strong knowledge and experience with SIEM and various security tools/technologies.
- Excellent customer service orientation and pro-active problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical and logical thinking abilities.
- Exceptional spoken and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or a related field.
- Preferred certifications: CCNA, JNCIA, ACCA, PCNSA, CCSA, AZ-500, SC-200, Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISM.
Required Experience:
- Seasoned experience with security technologies like Firewall, IPS, IDS, Proxy, etc.
- Experience providing technical support and incident response in security contexts.
- Knowledge of networking, Linux, and security concepts.
- Familiarity with log collection mechanisms and security architecture.
Language Requirements:
Proficiency in English is required, with excellent communication skills being essential for team collaboration and stakeholder interaction.
