Overview: As a Senior Analytics Manager, you will be in a central position evangelizing data and methodologies to other functional analysts and stakeholders in the company. You will own the governance of BI dashboards and reporting, with close interaction with teams in marketing, sales, finance, and product. The role offers a fast-paced, professional, international, and entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead full lifecycle analysis, including requirements gathering, activity planning, and design implementation.
- Define and monitor KPI metrics, driving data governance through standardization and communication.
- Develop BI dashboards using tools such as Sisense, Tableau, PowerBI, or DataStudio.
- Design and implement new models to address business needs, continuously improving existing solutions.
- Conduct experiments and trials to refine ongoing strategies, interpreting results for actionable insights.
- Utilize SQL, Python, and similar tools to access, construct, and manipulate large datasets.
- Manage Data Analytics team, overseeing their performance and career development.
- Create and present documentation for management, responsible for exception management, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Research and validate entity data using internal and external sources.
- Mentor junior team members, sharing data insights through dashboards, reports, and presentations.
- Deliver training sessions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of current and emerging technologies, proposing changes as needed to optimize team efficiency.
- Collaborate with managers and team members to progress current sprint and roadmap objectives.
- Govern Periscope analytics across all teams, influencing consistency in style and methodology.
- Establish a research function to drive continuous innovation, introducing new data products and technologies.
- Demonstrate excellence by handling CEO requests directly and effectively.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- 4+ years of experience as a people manager, with 6+ years of work experience in analytics, preferably within an internet/e-commerce company.
- Strong background in building, implementing, and maintaining predictive models on large datasets.
- Proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel; skills in Python, R, or similar tools are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for data analysis.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and business recommendations.
- Strong project management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proactive and passionate individual with an entrepreneurial spirit.
