Position

EDGE is an advanced technology group dedicated to developing disruptive solutions for defense and beyond. The company aims to solve real-world challenges by bringing innovative technologies and services to market efficiently. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing various algorithms for embedded software, developing firmware for microcontrollers, integrating communication protocols, and mentoring junior engineers. The position also involves working with RF systems and conducting performance analysis using tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or Python.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Implement layer 1/PHY radio front-end algorithms on FPGA or Microcontroller.
  • Develop and maintain bare-metal firmware for microcontrollers based on Cortex-M architectures.
  • Implement Linux drivers and kernel modules for custom hardware components.
  • Integrate communication protocols like I2C, UART, SPI, and CAN.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Analyze RF communication systems including noise reduction and error correction techniques.

Knowledge/Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science, communication, electronic, or software engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in embedded software engineering with C and C++.
  • Strong understanding of ARM64 and Cortex-M architectures.
  • Experience with Linux driver and kernel development, and bare-metal firmware development for microcontrollers.
  • Knowledge of RF systems, including modulation, coding, and signal processing, along with related hardware experience.

Additional Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Proficiency in using version control systems like Git or SVN.
