About The Role
The Lead Quality Assurance Engineer supports the Principal Quality Assurance Engineer by coordinating business, technical, and quality criteria within the delivery process. Responsibilities include assisting the software engineering team in executing the designed test strategy, ensuring an optimal user journey, and co-coordinating and executing end-to-end business process tests across various delivery models. Key tasks also involve understanding the business domain both operationally and technically, providing context to tests and QA activities, and maintaining automation frameworks and test harnesses.
What You'll Be Expected To Do
- Understand and translate complex requirements
- Coordinate deliveries with technical product owners, architects, and software engineers
- Manage test data availability
- Liaise with other product teams for cross-dependent features
- Configure and maintain test tools
- Implement and adapt automation frameworks
- Influence and guide Software Engineers in automated testing
- Lead and influence teams to minimize inefficiencies and mitigate risks
Experience You'll Need To Have
- 5+ years in quality-related roles in a digital or ecommerce environment
- 3+ years as a Software Quality Engineering lead
- Experience in business process flows and scenario mapping
- Understanding of technology solutions for large organizations
- Proficiency in automation tools and programming languages
Skills You'll Need To Have
- Proficient in creating and maintaining large scale test data frameworks
- Experience with automation tools like Selenium, Protractor, Cucumber, etc.
- Strong coding skills in languages like JavaScript and Java
- Expertise in developing automation frameworks and CI pipeline integration
- Familiarity with CI tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps
- Strong expertise in context-driven and exploratory testing
