Our company seeks an experienced Senior iOS Architect with extensive experience leading strategic projects and a strong understanding of iOS connectivity. As a Senior iOS Architect you will play a pivotal role in architecting and implementing innovative solutions for peer-to-peer device communication and addressing communication challenges encountered in-flight and aboard various vehicles or vessels.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and development of iOS applications ensuring scalability, performance and security
• Utilize your strong iOS knowledge and proven experience in leading strategic projects to provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team
• Architect and implement robust peer-to-peer communication protocols on iOS platforms, enabling seamless device connectivity and data exchange
• Develop customized solutions for in-flight and aboard communication addressing challenges such as limited bandwidth, intermittent connectivity and high-latency environments
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers and backend engineers to define requirements and ensure alignment with architectural goals
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in iOS development, connectivity technologies and aviation communication standards incorporating relevant innovations into architectural designs
• Conduct code reviews, performance optimizations and architectural assessments to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to best practices
• Act as a subject matter expert on iOS architecture and connectivity providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership teams

Requirements

• Very strong iOS knowledge with proven experience in a lead position in strategic project(s)
• Very specific niche skills on iOS connectivity: Expertise in peer-to-peer device communication protocols and solutions implementation on iOS platforms
• Experience in developing solutions for in-flight and aboard communication challenges with a deep understanding of aviation communication standards and protocols
• Proficiency in Objective-C and/or Swift programming languages along with a solid understanding of iOS frameworks and development tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to architect complex systems and troubleshoot technical issues effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
