About the Job
In this position, you will work closely with clients to define and establish geospatial-centric solutions that support their success and broaden the impact of GIS technology on their business. You'll help shape the evolution of the platform by identifying new implementation patterns. As part of the role, you will provide solutions and thought leadership while promoting the use of Esri technology to enable customer success and enhance its development and growth in new domains, collaborating with industry experts throughout the company.
You will join a cross-functional team of dynamic and passionate Consultants and Project Managers dedicated to delivering solutions that can significantly impact communities around the world. The focus of this team is to implement critical technologies that improve quality, reliability, and accessibility of data and geospatial capabilities.
The Professional Services division is responsible for consulting and implementation, breaking new ground in markets, pushing the technology envelope, and delivering transformational solutions to high-profile clients worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing complex and strategic GIS programs that consist of multiple engagements and stakeholder teams.
  • Collaborating with both Esri and customer senior-level stakeholders to establish program goals aligned with the organizational strategy.
  • Monitoring the outputs and outcomes of engagements, implementing changes to ensure program benefits are delivered.
  • Acting as a primary point of contact for escalations and coordinating discussions around program status and goals among stakeholders.
  • Producing accurate and timely program status reports throughout its lifecycle.
  • Analyzing program risks and developing risk mitigation plans.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience in a similar position.
  • Proven experience in program management, strategic consulting, and understanding of customer organization needs.
  • Ability to engage with executive-level leadership.
  • Extensive experience in project management and leading large-scale proposals.
  • Exceptional professional presentation skills for both internal and external briefings.
  • A self-motivated, proactive problem solver with a team-oriented and creative mindset.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, Computer Science or related field.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Prior work experience in North America or Europe.
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS, location-based services, geo-enabled apps, or similar geospatial technologies.
  • Experience in GIS Project Management.
  • Knowledge of software engineering and robust application development principles.
  • Understanding of current technology implementation patterns, including cloud computing architecture.
  • Program Management Professional (PgMP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • A master’s degree in a relevant field is advantageous.
