About the Job
In this position, you will work closely with clients to define and establish geospatial-centric solutions aimed at enhancing their success and expanding the impact of GIS technology on their business. You will have the opportunity to shape the evolution of the platform by identifying new implementation patterns. As a part of a dynamic and passionate team, you will promote the use of Esri technology to support customer success and its development into new domains, collaborating with industry experts throughout the company.

The team caters primarily to National Government clients. You will participate in delivering solutions that enable our customers to create meaningful impacts in communities worldwide. Within the delivery team, your role will involve implementing critical technologies that enhance the quality, reliability, and accessibility of data and geospatial capabilities.

The Professional Services division serves as the consulting and implementation arm of Esri, breaking new ground in markets and delivering transformational solutions to high-profile clients around the globe. The division consists of nearly 1,000 talented professionals dedicated to user success.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee complex and strategic GIS programs comprised of multiple engagements and stakeholder teams.
  • Collaborate with both Esri and customer senior-level stakeholders to establish program goals that align with organizational strategy.
  • Monitor the outputs and outcomes of engagements, collaborating with stakeholders to implement changes to ensure program benefits.
  • Serve as a point of contact for escalation and coordinate with stakeholders to discuss program status, goals, and issues.
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its lifecycle.
  • Analyze program risks and manage risk mitigation plans.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience in a similar role, managing business industry/sector, strategic consulting, or IT implementation.
  • Extensive experience in project management and proven experience leading large-scale proposals.
  • Ability to engage with executive-level leadership and demonstrate professional presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive problem solver with a team-oriented mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, Computer Science, or a related field.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a similar field in North America or Europe.
  • Proficiency with ArcGIS, location-based services, geo-enabled apps, or spatial analysis.
  • GIS Project Management experience.
  • Knowledge of software engineering principles and current technology implementation patterns.
  • Program Management Professional (PgMP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
