About the Job
Presale Solution Managers are essential during the proposal and presale phases, tasked with defining, building, and developing technical solutions based on the Veridos product and solution portfolio. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and architect robust border control, identity, and passport systems. This includes working with biometric data capture, document issuance, and border control solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Architecture: Collaborate with internal and external teams to engineer comprehensive solutions incorporating biometric scanners, databases, and authentication protocols.
  • System Design and Integration: Lead the technical design process to ensure the seamless integration of various components.
  • Requirements Gathering: Engage with stakeholders such as Proposal Managers and Sales Managers to understand client needs and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Vendor Evaluation: Assess and select appropriate technology vendors for hardware, software, and infrastructure needs.
  • Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with internal teams, including Presales Managers and Service Managers, as well as clients.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential technical risks associated with system implementation and propose strategies to mitigate them.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, including security protocols and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in solution architecture, system design, and implementation.
  • Proven track record in identity management, passport systems, or border control solutions.
  • Familiarity with biometrics, PKI, and secure document issuance.
  • Technical skills in system integration, database design, network architecture, and technical writing.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards, such as ICAO and ISO.
  • Familiarity with technologies like RFID, facial recognition, and fingerprint scanning.
  • Understanding of cloud-based solutions and cybersecurity is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
  • Results-oriented mindset.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

Additional Information:
The role involves occasional travel to client sites and international conferences. Candidates will assist with high-level customer requirement discussions, technical qualifications of leads and RFP documents, and the creation of technical solution concepts in collaboration with system integration and product development teams. This position is also involved in working directly with proposal teams at various stages of customer engagement to enhance deal win rates and drive revenue generation.
