Job Summary:

As a Senior Engineer (IMU), you'll play a crucial role in designing inertial measurement units and hybrid navigation systems. From developing sensor mathematical models to crafting navigation algorithms, you'll drive excellence at every stage of the process.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate project elements on the IMU development lifecycle, from design to commissioning.
  • Develop IMU calibration and compensation algorithms for internally developed IMUs.
  • Collaborate with product management to identify required sensors and execute high-level design of navigation systems.
  • Code simulation models and test them to verify performance according to supplier specifications.
  • Create navigation system functional specifications and document detailed interface designs.
  • Manage and integrate functionality of navigation simulation of sensor models and algorithms.
  • Support creation and execution of test procedures to qualify navigation systems and IMUs.
  • Assure timely, cost-effective solutions for program and engineering issues, presenting recommendations to leadership.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in sensor fusion and IMU techniques.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop Junior Engineers in navigation technology.

Experience & Education Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years' experience in algorithm development, simulation, and modeling, with at least 3 years in navigation systems or IMUs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Mechanical engineering or related discipline.
  • Preferred 12 years' similar experience with regional industry exposure.
  • Preferred Master's or Doctorate degree in Electronics or Mechanical engineering/Certification in control systems and optimal estimation theory.
  • Proficiency in navigation system architecture and algorithm development.
  • Strong analytical skills in performance analysis, both in simulation and flight test.
