Help AG, an e& enterprise company, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage advanced security solutions for our organization. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in network security, endpoint protection, and advanced traffic management, combined with a proactive approach to mitigating cyber threats.
As a Senior Security Engineer, you will work with cutting-edge technologies across various security domains, including Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs), firewall management, VPNs, endpoint security, and traffic optimization systems. Your responsibility will be to safeguard our infrastructure and ensure the optimal performance of security systems to protect against emerging threats.
Responsibilities:
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for in-scope technologies for Help AG customers.
- Design, deploy, operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot complex IP networks and interconnected network security technologies.
- Provide timely responses to all incidents, outages, and performance alerts.
- Handle escalated incidents effectively.
- Collaborate with other technology support groups for problem resolution.
- Support operational needs and ensure minimal downtime for critical services.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of complex IP networks.
- At least 8+ years of industry experience in network/security engineering roles.
- Solid understanding of network security technologies, data center traffic flow, and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with security controls such as Next-Generation Firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto), Firewall Management & Log Analyzer Consoles, DDI (Infoblox), F5 technologies, VPNs, and Endpoint Security.
- Demonstrable experience in high-pressure, customer-facing environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes like change management, problem management, and incident management.
Skills:
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict SLAs.
- Sound understanding of common services (web, mail, FTP, DNS, etc.), network vulnerabilities, and attack patterns.
- Self-motivated with a professional attitude.
