Position

As a Project Engineer at Hitachi Energy, you will be a key member of the High Voltage Business team based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. You will lead the execution of medium to large and moderately complex GIS projects, ensuring all activities comply with Hitachi Energy's policies, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety, and environment requirements, as well as financial targets and schedule commitments.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Review contract receipt from sales.
  • Develop and finalize project schedules with stakeholders.
  • Prepare project-specific risk and opportunities management plans.
  • Create project-wise master document lists.
  • Coordinate engineering drawing approvals and customer document approvals.
  • Collaborate with engineering and SCM to procure materials.
  • Coordinate with the planning team, manage production plans, and follow up on production progress.
  • Oversee stage inspections when necessary.
  • Ensure material readiness and completion of FAT with LPG.
  • Follow up on material shipments, site receipt acknowledgment, and milestone billings.
  • Coordinate installation, testing, and commissioning at site.
  • Document change requests and manage time extensions or additional costs.
  • Manage project handover, compile as-built drawings, and ensure commercial closure.
  • Serve as the main contact for customers, leading customer meetings.
  • Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 0 - 3 years of experience in project execution of GIS projects, substation projects, or related high voltage equipment projects.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a PM role.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
