Software Engineering Manager

We are looking for a highly talented Software Engineering Manager to join our team in Riyadh. Responsibilities:

• Defining the strategic direction of your team and contributing to the technical strategy for the entire Hungerstation consumer products.
• Guiding and coaching an exceptional team of engineers, mentoring them in technical and non-technical aspects to build stable, scalable, and reliable features and services.
• Helping the team shape their individual careers and grow more self-organized, agile, and autonomous.
• Establishing and growing the right Engineering Practices with your team (e.g., TDD, CI/CD, Agile Methodologies) to enhance team engagement, delivery speed, and feature/service quality.
• Leading the projects your team owns in collaboration with a product manager, including stakeholder and dependency management, roadmaps, alignment, and cost management.
• Playing an active role in evolving the overall architecture, particularly for systems and products owned by your team.
• Scaling different processes within the organization such as engineering hiring and onboarding.

What you need to be successful:

• More than 8 years of overall experience with at least 2 years of experience leading a team.
• Ability to identify needed change, create a vision, and execute the change while working closely with the team.
• Proficiency in coaching or mentoring teams, evolving team structure and processes using Agile methodologies, and attracting international talent.
• Good understanding of product and business KPIs and translating them into goals using the OKR framework.
• Solid knowledge in managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Expertise in solving complex problems on technical and organizational levels using appropriate frameworks, practices, and approaches.
• Experience in building high-quality applications, Domain Driven Design, microservice architecture, Design Patterns, and cloud-based system architectures.
• Hands-on programming experience using Golang, Java, RoR, Swift, or Kotlin, along with knowledge of designing scalable system architectures.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
