We are looking for a highly talented Software Engineering Manager to join our team in Riyadh. Responsibilities:
- Defining the strategic direction of your team and contributing to the technical strategy for the entire Hungerstation consumer products.
- Guiding and coaching an exceptional team of engineers, mentoring them in technical and non-technical aspects to build stable, scalable, and reliable features and services.
- Helping the team shape their individual careers and grow more self-organized, agile, and autonomous.
- Establishing and growing the right Engineering Practices with your team (e.g., TDD, CI/CD, Agile Methodologies) to enhance team engagement, delivery speed, and feature/service quality.
- Leading the projects your team owns in collaboration with a product manager, including stakeholder and dependency management, roadmaps, alignment, and cost management.
- Playing an active role in evolving the overall architecture, particularly for systems and products owned by your team.
- Scaling different processes within the organization such as engineering hiring and onboarding.
What you need to be successful:
- More than 8 years of overall experience with at least 2 years of experience leading a team.
- Ability to identify needed change, create a vision, and execute the change while working closely with the team.
- Proficiency in coaching or mentoring teams, evolving team structure and processes using Agile methodologies, and attracting international talent.
- Good understanding of product and business KPIs and translating them into goals using the OKR framework.
- Solid knowledge in managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Expertise in solving complex problems on technical and organizational levels using appropriate frameworks, practices, and approaches.
- Experience in building high-quality applications, Domain Driven Design, microservice architecture, Design Patterns, and cloud-based system architectures.
- Hands-on programming experience using Golang, Java, RoR, Swift, or Kotlin, along with knowledge of designing scalable system architectures.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
