Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies is seeking a Global Software Engineering Excellence Leader to join our team and drive the digital transformation within MedTech. This full-time on-site position is based in Dubai, UAE, and reports to the Global Head of Data & Digital Operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in championing best practices in software engineering across the organization, facilitating continuous process improvement, enhancing team skills, and ensuring alignment with industry-leading engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Best Practices Development: Define, implement, and promote best practices and standards in software engineering.
- Process Optimization: Evaluate and enhance existing software engineering processes to maximize productivity and streamline workflows, including ensuring efficient outsourced resource management for MedTech Digital.
- Training & Mentorship: Develop and lead training programs, workshops, and mentoring sessions to enhance the skills and capabilities of engineering teams.
- Quality Assurance / Performance Management: Shape and manage key metrics (KPIs) and goals, leading initiatives to continuously improve product quality and development efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Quality Assurance, to ensure engineering practices support business objectives.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors for staff augmentation and ensure performance monitoring against contracts, maintaining high-quality talent provision.
- Innovation & Tools: Stay updated on industry trends and advocate for modern technologies that drive engineering excellence while implementing effective time tracking systems for accurate financial recording.
- Feedback Loop: Establish a system for gathering feedback on engineering processes to promote open communication and continuous improvement.
- Operational Support: Manage the coordination and logistics for upskilling and promoting Digital awareness throughout J&J MedTech.
Qualifications:

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in the software industry.
- 8+ years of experience in leadership roles managing employees and contractors.
- Proficient in estimating development efforts and delivering software solutions with internal and outsourced resources.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Proven experience in developing and managing key metrics to achieve business targets.
- Experience navigating complex and matrixed organizations with effective collaboration skills.

- Six Sigma Process Excellence certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience in people development and management.
