Lab49 is looking to hire a Principal Solutions Architect for an exciting opportunity in one of the world's most dynamic business hubs. This role involves leading the design and implementation of complex IT solutions to meet business requirements and align with the organization's strategic objectives. The Principal Solutions Architect will work closely with stakeholders, including business leaders, IT professionals, and external partners, to deliver scalable, robust, and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design and Architecture:
- Develop high-level architectural solutions aligned with client business needs.
- Create detailed design specifications and documentation for proposed solutions.
- Effectively communicate architectural visions, goals, and designs to all stakeholders.

Technical Leadership:
- Collaborate with development teams, Infrastructure, DevOps, and IT operations to ensure successful implementation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other architects and technical teams.
- Oversee solution implementation to ensure compliance with specified requirements and quality standards.

Quality and Standards:
- Establish and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Conduct architectural reviews and audits to ensure compliance.
- Identify risks and opportunities within the enterprise architecture landscape and develop strategies to address them.

Client Interaction:
- Engage directly with clients to gather requirements, present solutions, and ensure alignment with their business goals.
- Develop strong relationships with clients as a strategic partner and technical advisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a solutions architect role.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing complex IT solutions.
- Experience in Commercial/Institutional Banking and financial markets/products is highly desirable.
- Consulting experience is preferred.
Skills:
- Experience in managerial/team leadership within IT consultancy, IT services organization, or large corporations.
- Familiarity with large-scale enterprise application engineering and current coding languages such as Java, .NET, Python, or Ruby.
- Deep expertise in solution architecture, including web services, relational and non-relational databases, front-end, and back-end technologies.
- Experience architecting scalable, performant, mission-critical systems with high availability, using container and serverless technologies.
- Significant system integration experience and familiarity with enterprise middleware and integration tools.
- Good exposure to Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present technical ideas in a business-friendly manner.
