About the Job:
The Murex Back Office Consultant will be part of the GM IT Operations Squad responsible for providing IT services to the Global Markets Operations team. The squad's responsibilities include support, change requests, and projects related to Global Markets Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and document user requirements, translating them into functional specifications.
  • Serve as a key liaison with Global Markets Operations teams (business and their supporting functions), IT teams, and vendors.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs and transform them into change or project initiatives.
  • Define systems and data requirements, validating systems design and processes from both functional and technical perspectives.
  • Develop and refine various business/functional/testing requirements in support of the project and systems, working alongside vendors when needed.
  • Configure solutions according to requirements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the Murex suite of tools used within Operations, ensuring optimal use of product functionalities.
  • Create test plans, test cases, and execute system testing.
  • Contribute to user training activities, preparing training guides and presentations.
  • Follow up with vendor support to resolve bugs/issues as necessary.
  • Ensure technical and functional handover of the project and changes to relevant teams.
  • Assist in developing business and operational processes, as well as system training artifacts when required.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Total of 5-7 years of working experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as Murex Operations with subject matter expertise (SME) in back office workflows (contracts, events, deliverables, exchanges).
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in a bank (banking project) or IT company.
  • Experience in implementing and supporting Murex v3.1 regarding back office capabilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of capital markets products and processes, front to back.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, trading, and banking solutions.
  • Good exposure to Murex static data management and operations processes.
  • Strong knowledge of SWIFT message configurations and the Murex datamart module.
  • Functional knowledge of back office operations across various asset classes including Credit Derivatives, Interest Rate Derivatives, and more.

Language Requirements: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
