About the job:
As an IT engineer, your duties will include making sure the company's IT systems run well and providing technical support to end users. Your goal is to reduce downtime and maintain productivity by rapidly responding to requests, troubleshooting difficulties, and resolving technical issues. Acting as the first point of contact for the troubleshooting and resolution of incidents and service requests related to hardware configuration, software, applications, and network problems, among others. You will also be responsible for the support and maintenance of all M2 applications in shift duty processes.
Key areas of responsibility:
- System Administration: Administer and maintain servers, operating systems, and middleware applications. Configure and monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure system reliability and security.
- Network Management: Manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Configure network settings and monitor traffic patterns. Good understanding of TCP/IP, SSL, and financial network technologies. Also, knowledge of local and networked file systems.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: IT Assets Management, IT Onboarding and Offboarding, Systems Administration, Software Administration, Access Management, Microsoft Admin Centers Administration, and IT Procurements.
- Expertise in cloud technology: Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Microsoft Exchange Admin Center, Azure Active Directory, and Apple and Android Developer Business Accounts. MDM application and process, Microsoft SharePoint Admin Center, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, and Microsoft Teams Admin Center.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and assistance to end-users and IT teams. Troubleshoot complex issues, escalate problems as needed, and coordinate with vendors and service providers to resolve issues promptly.
- Monitoring and ticketing tools: strong knowledge of Jira and Confluence, PagerDuty Monitoring Tool, and Slack.
- Documentation and Training: Create and maintain technical documentation, including system diagrams, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures. Provide training and knowledge transfer to IT staff and end-users on IT systems and procedures.
- Collaborative Project Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams. Collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas and develop project plans.
- Incident Response and Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures to minimize downtime and data loss in the event of system failures or disasters. Test backup systems and recovery processes regularly to ensure readiness.
Qualifications:
- At least 4 years of experience in user support, IT engineering, system administration, on-off-boarding processes, and network management roles.
- Proven experience in IT operations with a focus on trading platforms, especially cryptocurrency exchange platforms, is preferred.
- Proficiency in designing, implementing, and managing IT infrastructure components.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, server technologies, and virtualization platforms.
- Experience with cloud computing services and technologies.
- Familiarity with security principles and best practices.
- Expertise in various helpdesk and monitoring tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Flexible and adaptable with a willingness to support team members and contribute to team success.
- Proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Certification or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or ITIL Foundation.
