We are seeking a strategic and inquisitive Data Scientist to join Mozn’s Data Science team. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to identify problems, define them in mathematical and statistical terms, and drive projects that extract insights to enhance business and product initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Work with cross-functional teammates from engineering, products, business, and marketing to deliver data-driven solutions.
- Clearly communicate highly technical results and methods to a variety of external clients.
- Analyze complex datasets through regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and other machine learning techniques.
- Develop and implement new machine learning methodologies to optimize Mozn’s solutions.
- Build data pipelines for Natural Language Understanding and/or Risk Management, and enhance existing solutions.
- Engage with stakeholders to define challenges and propose data-powered solutions.
- Stay updated with new frameworks and technological advancements to boost efficiency and productivity at Mozn.
- Coordinate with internal teams to set up and execute development strategies.
- Oversee large technical projects, defining priorities and technical solutions.
Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative fields.
- Relevant experience as a data scientist or in related areas requiring ML/AI model development (3+ years with B.S. degree, 2+ years with M.S. degree).
- Programming experience of at least two years in software development, including object-oriented programming and data manipulation, preferably with Python.
- Strong understanding of statistics and probability, including concepts such as Hidden Markov Models, Probabilistic Graphical Models, or Bayesian inference.
- Practical experience in machine learning, model diagnostics, and loss function modification.
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch.
- Expertise in Natural Language Understanding and/or Probabilistic Machine Learning applications.
