As a Senior Software Engineer at Mozn, you will work on projects of national scale and importance, often forming the foundation for data science functions within client organizations. This role offers the unique opportunity to build systems from the ground up, impacting the lives of millions. You will collaborate with a team that includes some of the best national and international talent from reputable institutions such as MIT, Stanford, Google, and others.
What You'll Do:
- Develop a deep understanding of relevant business areas and various components in the technology stack.
- Take ownership of and architect, build, and scale business-critical services.
- Continuously seek personal and team improvement.
- Participate in a DevOps/agile team through the full lifecycle of design, development, testing, planning, backlog grooming, and support.
- Design and develop REST APIs for internal and external consumption.
- Develop and maintain full-stack application code.
- Create unit tests for continuous integration environments.
- Implement best practices for coding and development processes.
- Collaborate with Project Management, Product Management, and team professionals across the organization.
Qualifications:
- MSc/BSc in Computer Science or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role preferred; professional certifications are a plus.
- Solid communication skills with the ability to convey technical solutions to end-users.
- Strong experience in Python and C programming languages, with a demonstrated drive to learn and grow in technical skills.
- Familiarity with software revision control tools such as Git.
- Ability to explain complex system issues clearly.
- Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles.
- Experience integrating data from multiple sources.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases such as HBase, Cassandra, and MongoDB.
- Ability to collaborate within a large interdisciplinary team on complex engineering problem modeling.
