We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. As a Junior Cybersecurity Analyst, you will work closely with senior members of the team to support various cybersecurity initiatives, including threat monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively monitor and support internal and external systems infrastructure systems (Incident & Problem Management), liaising with colleagues in a regional location as necessary.
- Compile comprehensive audit reports identifying potential risks/threats.
- Report on KPIs in relation to compliance and effectiveness of the information security controls and ensure reporting to key stakeholders.
- Lead the internal information security awareness program and ensure all staff achieve annual accreditation.
- Collaborate with other team members to implement cybersecurity policies and architecture, ensuring the establishment of a robust IT security framework.
- Maintain the threat and information risk register and recommend appropriate remediation.
- Develop general and detailed documentation describing system specifications and operating instructions.
- Ensure infrastructure, applications, and data security/privacy controls are maintained in compliance with corporate and regulatory policies.
- Support business continuity processes through continued documenting and testing of the infrastructure environment.
- Liaise & maintain appropriate relationships with third-party vendors.
- Help staff with the use of the company systems, providing training where necessary.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- 2+ years of experience implementing and managing core Microsoft security & Compliance stack.
- Experience with SEIM/SOAR and Kusto Query Language (KQL).
- Familiarity with Incident Response, Vulnerability/Patch Management, Attack Surface Management, and DLP.
- Experience with EDR/XDR and Threat Intelligence.
- 1+ years’ experience implementing and managing Linux operating systems.
- Experience managing cloud solutions (IaaS, Azure, AWS).
- Experience managing data center technologies (SANs, Switches, VLANs, Routers, Servers, Firewalls).
- Understanding of ISO27001:2 and information security best practices (identity management, intrusion detection/prevention).
- Knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Understanding of ITIL principles.
Desirable Knowledge and Experience:
- CompTIA Security+, CSA+, or any equivalent certification.
- Certified networking credential (CCNA or equivalent) is a plus.
- Experience in Web Application Firewall and Endpoint Management.
- Experience managing Firewalls and other security-related devices.
