The Specialist Developer - Port TOS is responsible for the development and management needed for the Terminal Operating System (TOS) regarding operational gaps and system interfaces. This role includes identifying improvements, gathering new user requests, and analyzing, designing, and implementing system enhancements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver complex code and modules for new features requested from the project team.
  • Debug and modify existing code provided by product suppliers.
  • Lead deliverables from product changes related to TOS.
  • Guide the QA team in writing and executing test cases for new features.
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, and system engineers to ensure quality product enhancements.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance for Container Systems like TOS, GOS, VBS, and Reefer.
  • Track and monitor system performance, detecting issues early to minimize operational impact.
  • Develop requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams, use cases, and flowcharts for developers and testers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Groovy Development related to container terminals and/or the shipping industry.
  • Proven experience with IT system application implementations and defining system interfaces between Port systems and ERP, Customs, and Customer Portals.
  • Strong knowledge of automation interfaces for RTG, Auto Gate, and Crane OCR.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a relevant qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of Groovy and Java is essential.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain positive relationships within the team and with external parties.
  • Flexibility to adapt strategies based on changing circumstances or feedback.
