The Center for Quantum and Topological Systems (CQTS) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking a Research Assistant in the area of Quantum Computing, both at the hardware and software levels. This position is on-site, full-time, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and the center operates as an interdisciplinary research hub incorporating fields such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.
Research can be directed in two main areas:
Quantum Computing Software: The role involves developing quantum simulators and computing languages that simulate quantum processes on classical computers, focusing on creating implementable and realistic software, particularly through topological quantum computing.
Quantum Computing Hardware: The research includes exploring approaches such as spin resonance and topological materials to investigate quantum computing prototypes that can function under standard conditions, thus enhancing their availability for research and education.
