The Security Solutions Architect is a seasoned subject matter expert primarily responsible for consulting with clients and collaborating with internal teams to create strategies, transformational designs, and architectural visions for complex solutions that address clients' needs. This role involves providing multi-technology consulting services on all aspects of application software, infrastructure, and related technology components.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, define, and recommend solutions, services, and outcomes in-line with cybersecurity domains across different industry sectors.
- Leverage knowledge of security standards, laws, regulations, and good practices to support security outcomes.
- Identify and develop security requirements, both functional and non-functional.
- Define and manage demos and proof of concept, along with solution specifications for network and infrastructure security.
- Support complex bid responses, partnership models, solution & service strategies, and detailed pricing models.
- Maintain vendor relationships to ensure a thorough understanding of vendor products and technology positioning.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
- Serve as the primary contact for the sales team regarding new requirements or questions in cybersecurity.
- Work independently to determine methods and procedures for new assignments.
- Engage in security architecture discussions with clients on cybersecurity operations and incident response services.
- Possess broad knowledge of various security solutions, services, and technologies.
- Understand concepts and principles of 'Secure by Design' and 'Zero Trust.'
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant and recognized professional security certifications.
Required Experience:
- More than 8 years in Cyber Security, with at least 4 years focused on technical solutions and presales.
- Experience in a customer-facing role and comfortable presenting to audiences on technical topics.
- Familiarity with UAE/Qatar markets and connections within cybersecurity vendors, particularly in the network security domain.
- Strong technical knowledge of security technologies such as Firewalls, WAF, SASE, SIEM, MDR, and others.
- Experience in preparing technical architecture blueprints and responding to large-scale complex RFPs is highly desirable.
- Understanding of security architecture design principles, cloud security projects, and cloud security concepts is preferred.
