About
The Lead Functional Domain Specialist (SCM) will play a direct role in programming, maintenance, technical support, documentation, and administration of Oracle Cloud applications. The specialist ensures solution architecture feasibility and mitigates risk by leveraging a network of subject matter experts across various domains. The role demands an experienced SCM domain specialist focused on functional SCM process architecture and solution architecture across all disciplines of the SCM function. Broader Oracle ERP application knowledge is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate as Functional leader/Advisor in various service activity streams, such as Gap Analysis and Solution Design.
  • Conduct proof of concepts (POCs) and demonstrations, gather requirements, perform business analysis, and deliver projects.
  • Ensure quality assurance collaboration with Oracle teams at client locations or offshore teams during various activities.
  • Document and review Requirement Specifications and Functional Specification documents.
  • Travel to client locations as needed for implementations, product walkthroughs, and POC workshops.
  • Collaborate with onsite teams and client personnel to ensure project success during implementations.
  • Use defined standards/tools/processes to ensure work meets quality expectations of Oracle and the client.
  • Document all work according to agreed standards and processes.
  • Adhere to defined Change Control Processes and align with Oracle/client audit/compliance requirements.
  • Perform accurate handover/knowledge transfer at the end of each assignment, provide timely status reports to supervisors, and submit timesheets on time.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with Oracle applications, SaaS, and PaaS solutions, of which at least 6+ years in SaaS implementations.
  • Proven industry experience in SCM solutions and various SCM products in consultancy or customer sites.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and in teams.
  • Detailed functional knowledge of Oracle SaaS (eBusiness Suite is a plus) within at least one industry.
  • Ability to collaborate independently with client Business Teams and analyze solution approaches, estimations, standard methodologies, project risks, and make recommendations.
  • Ability to understand client requirements and map them to off-the-shelf products or product features.
  • Capable of leading project meetings and Product-Walkthrough workshops with the customer.
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills with demonstrable ability to translate business requirements into technology specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of industry terminologies, concepts, and processes.
  • Good communication and documentation skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is strongly recommended.
  • Experience in implementation and/or support of Oracle SaaS.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations and work offshore for short, medium, or long duration assignments.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts and pursue Oracle SaaS certifications in functional areas as required.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
