MySQL has a long history of being the most popular database in the world. The MySQL Business Unit is looking for a MySQL Solution Engineer to help our customers understand and utilize our MySQL products. We are seeking an expert in building modern data platforms with MySQL. If you are familiar with data management solutions, including relational databases and NoSQL databases, understand developer needs, and are experienced with Java and/or Python, as well as frameworks like Kubernetes, Ansible, or Terraform, we encourage you to consider this opportunity. You will assist some of the largest companies in EMEA in adopting and optimizing their usage of MySQL, contributing to our business growth while enhancing your professional profile. Proficiency in French and English is mandatory, along with additional languages being preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key member of the MySQL Solution Engineering team focused on driving MySQL adoption.
- Manage a high volume of engagements in the fast-paced open-source database market.
- Experience with account management (Enterprise, SMB, and startup) and solution selling.
- Maintain strong technical database knowledge to differentiate between varied database approaches (relational, non-relational, in-memory, data warehousing, etc.).
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations, product demos, and sample solutions to promote MySQL adoption.
- Identify leads for potential partnerships and customer opportunities within the MySQL community.
- Collaborate with internal teams to define the product roadmap and market positioning for MySQL offerings.
- Drive, develop, and support community user groups and developer program initiatives for MySQL.
- Provide direction and specialized knowledge in applying technology to client businesses.
- Facilitate customer product understanding through presentations, demonstrations, and benchmarks.
- Serve as the technical expert in formulating and leading presales support for prospective clients while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Act as a mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants.
- Focus on large or complex sales opportunities that require innovative and complex solutions.
- Develop productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants.
- Deliver outstanding presentations and demonstrations for Oracle products.
- Lead all aspects of the technical sales process and advise clients on overall architectural solutions.
Requirements
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in relevant fields.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic languages.
- Familiarity with Java and/or Python.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Ansible, or Terraform systems.
