Job Description:
- Create efficient automation workflows to enhance design development processes.
- Design, develop, and implement automation tools using Python, C#, and other languages to streamline operations and improve productivity.
- Build scripts for computational design software such as Grasshopper, Dynamo, etc.
- Develop custom applications for platforms like Autodesk, Bentley, and ESRI, as well as plugins to enhance functionality and user experience.
- Create intuitive dashboards for presenting analytical data based on project requirements.
- Develop user interfaces for end-users to effectively utilize complex scripts without needing extensive technical knowledge.
- Leverage AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML (Machine Learning) techniques to enhance design capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with the design team to understand their needs for effective automation strategies.
- Organize software cybersecurity approvals, manage software publishing, and create training materials including manuals and user guides.
- Monitor rollout schedules and provide ongoing support for deployed tools, ensuring they maintain functionality, and log bug fixes for developers.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all automated processes within the organization.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience as an Automation Specialist or in a similar role within a design environment.
- Strong understanding of software APIs such as Revit API and Civil3D API for creating efficient solutions.
- Proficiency in Python, C#, or other relevant programming languages.
- Experience with computational design software like Grasshopper and Dynamo.
- Familiarity with Autodesk, Bentley, and ESRI software platforms; plugin development experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of AI/ML techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with design software like AutoCAD, Revit, Civil3D, Rhino, SketchUp, etc., is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience working on a variety of projects.
Language Requirements: Proficiency in English (other languages are a plus).
