Principal Hardware Engineer - C2 Systems

At Raytheon, our mission is to help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression with over 100 years of engineering expertise. The Tactical Radars and Effectors team is seeking a Principal Hardware Engineer to support international Command and Control (C2) programs. This role involves providing technical leadership, mechanical design, and integration of COTS electronics and transportable shelters within C2 systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and assess fielded hardware at fixed and mobile sites, including transportable shelters and electronic racks.
• Coordinate with teams in Saudi Arabia and the U.S. for system operational status and problem resolution.
• Collaborate with the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Defense personnel on C2 systems.
• Work with local vendors for evaluating parts and supporting procurement.
• Direct and support Level 4 maintenance and repair activities on site.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering (preferred).
• Minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience, particularly with C2 system hardware design and requirements.
• Experience in installing and maintaining Mechanical/Electrical hardware in C2 systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics for troubleshooting.
• Active U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: The salary range for this role is USD 96,000 - 200,000, based on experience and other factors.

Additional Information: This position requires travel to supplier and customer sites in Saudi Arabia and may include business trips to Fullerton, CA. Employment is contingent upon meeting medical requirements for overseas assignments.
