About the Job
We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect with at least 7-10 years of technology experience, including 2-3 years specifically as a Solution Architect. Candidates must possess Payments/Cards domain experience, as this is essential for the role.
Mandatory Experience:
- Expertise in card management platforms (e.g., VisionPLUS, Way4, First Data, CardPac) and experience with end-to-end card lifecycle management, including acquiring, issuance, activation, transaction processing, and settlements.
- Deep understanding of card processing flows, encompassing authorization, clearing, settlement, dispute management, and chargeback processes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of card products, including credit, debit, and prepaid cards, with experience in designing solutions for co-branded cards, corporate card programs, and loyalty/rewards programs.
- Proven experience in developing and integrating loyalty programs, cashback rewards, and installment payment options to increase cardholder engagement.
- Familiarity with payment gateways, payment processors, and clearing systems.
- Strong understanding of card industry standards and regulations such as PCI-DSS, EMV, and PSD2.
- Experience in implementing security measures, including tokenization and 3D Secure, to comply with regulatory and industry mandates.
- Knowledge of data management practices related to payments and cards, including data privacy and security.
- Ability to assess and integrate third-party card management solutions and provide evaluations, selection, and early-phase project estimates.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, particularly within a banking environment.
Technical Competencies:
- Proficiency in enterprise integration patterns and familiarity with architectural methodologies and standards, such as Zachman and TOGAF.
- Experience in designing, documenting, and implementing RESTful APIs and MicroService Architecture, along with knowledge of containers/cloud-native technologies, event-streams, and message brokers.
- Hands-on experience with popular cloud services (Azure, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud) and relevant security protocols and standards within payment systems.
- Competence in designing secure payment solutions and mitigating risks, alongside good familiarity with enterprise architecture tools, data modeling tools, and developing best practices for reuse.
Core Objectives & Key Results (OKRs):
- Deliver complete and self-sufficient solutions and design documents within agreed timelines.
- Enhance the efficiency of the architectural design workflow or through automation.
- Execute a robust peer review process, including reviews of Low-Level Design Documents (LLD) and Production Readiness Reviews (PRR).
- Conduct quarterly reviews of products utilizing the Application Health Review Framework and respond to product incidents to identify areas for improvement.
- Close all architecture dispensations, risks, and technical debt.
- Produce thorough Solution analysis to support the development of future team operational direction and activities.
- Collaborate effectively with other architects and technical leads to ensure that end-to-end solutions align with objectives and performance goals as defined in the requirements and to optimize digital solutions to meet client use cases and industry standards.
