Responsibilities
- Develop designs, patterns, blueprints for network and network security solutions across environments including datacenter, campus, branch & ISP connectivity and cloud network architectures on platforms such as Microsoft Azure and/or Oracle Cloud
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to networks and network security on premise and in cloud e.g. PCI DSS, GDPR, UAE CPR.
- Guide implementation engineers to transition designs into operation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and assess the impact, benefits & drawbacks of proposed solutions on network and network security.
- Collaborate with security architects, developers, and engineering teams to ensure network and network security patterns and principles are applied consistently.
- Work closely with all stakeholders to align network and network security architecture with overall security strategies, standards and requirements.
- Identify opportunities for improvements in process, architecture or technology and suggest designs and projects for implementation.
- Develop solutions to remediate identified risks within network and network security ecosystems.
- Showcase leadership skills by taking responsibility & accountability for the overall technical direction of the project and product.
- Troubleshoot solve technical problems when they arise & suggest remediation/mitigation options for the same.
Technical, Functional & Soft Skill Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of Networking & Network Security concepts and devices for On-Premises & Cloud implementations including Experience with Infrastructure Automation (Infra as code, Policy as code) using Terraform, Ansible, Github, Jenkins and other CI/CD toolsets.
- Deep technical understanding of network security tools such as Next Gen Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention, IPSEC and SSL VPN technologies, DDoS Prevention at L3/L4/L7, Web App Firewalls and Network Detection and Response.
- Experience developing architecture designs incorporating Software Defined Networks, LAN/WAN/WLAN/SD-WAN and Cloud.
- Understanding of network packet analysis via tools such as wireshark and TCP dump.
- Knowledgeable in the application of current and emerging network software and hardware technology and protocols
- Experience with networking in containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent diagramming skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent vendor relationship management skills to be able to synergize and add value via technology providers.
- Innovative mindset that ensures ideation and execution new Network/Network Security technologies via approaches like Proof of Concept (PoC) / Value (PoV)
