Our Autonomous Robotics Research Centre focuses on the advancement of unmanned vehicles across various environments. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of autonomous drones tailored specifically for indoor applications.
As a Robotics Engineer, you will collaborate with a diverse team of scientists and engineers to design, develop, and integrate algorithms that enhance the autonomy of drones. Ideal candidates should possess a strong understanding of robotics and have experience with Robot Operating System (ROS).

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team to design, develop, and integrate software into our autonomous drone platform.
- Design and implement scalable software architecture ensuring efficient communication across systems.
- Utilize sensor fusion techniques for enhancing perception and localization in dynamic indoor environments.
- Develop and optimize navigation algorithms for obstacle avoidance and path planning in indoor settings.
- Engage in rigorous testing, simulation, and validation of the drone's systems to ensure reliable performance.
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in robotics and drone technology to infuse innovative solutions into our projects.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in ROS software development and integration.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
- Familiarity with sensor fusion, perception, and autonomous navigation.
- Basic knowledge of computer vision and algorithm optimization for embedded systems.
- Experience with real-world applications in autonomous drones.
- Knowledge of PX4 or other autopilots and simulation tools like Gazebo.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and task management tools (e.g., Jira).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
