Senior Data Engineer

Desired Experience/Skills:

• 8-12 years of overall experience, with deep knowledge of the cloud ecosystem, particularly GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience designing end-to-end solutions on GCP, covering ingestion, transformation, and consumption patterns.
• Proficiency with GCP services such as GCS, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Pub/Sub, and BigQuery.
• Hands-on experience managing and optimizing cloud workloads on Spark, especially using Scala.
• Familiarity with building REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience in building, hosting, and deploying APIs on GCP using App Engine, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Expertise in architecture design for cloud and non-cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with various ETL technologies and tools.
• Knowledge of legacy database migration to cloud environments, including big data, data warehousing, and NoSQL.
• Experience in implementing large-scale hybrid cloud platforms and applications.
• Proficiency in one or more scripting languages.
• Strong understanding and implementation experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, and Data Modeling.
• Ability to lead the technical vision while balancing business drivers.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's and/or master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

Language Requirements:

• Proficiency in English is required.
