Lead Software Developer

Virtusa is seeking a Lead Software Developer specializing in Tableau. The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of experience with Tableau Desktop and direct ownership of Tableau implementations. Responsibilities include developing, designing, and maintaining interactive Tableau dashboards and reports, performing advanced calculations using Tableau Desktop, and managing data sources connections with various systems like Oracle, MS Excel, CSV, and SQL Server.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and manage interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau.
• Experience with advanced Tableau functionalities such as Aggregate, Date, Logical, String, and LOD Expressions.
• Conduct joins with custom SQL and blend data from multiple sources.
• Manage Tableau administration tasks, including workbooks, data security, subscriptions, schedules, and alerts.
• Develop fully automated dashboards using relational and non-relational data sources.
• Familiarity with APIs and a working knowledge of Python or R is preferred.
• Implement agile methodologies for visualization development, including rapid prototyping and continuous customer feedback.
• Define the DevOps pipeline using TeamCity and other standard tools.
• Collaborate with squad members and stakeholders to co-create optimal visualization solutions.
• Knowledge of JIRA is an added advantage.
