Position

At VML, we are a beacon of innovation and growth in an ever-evolving world. Our heritage is built upon a century of combined expertise, where creativity meets technology, and diverse perspectives ignite inspiration. With the merger of VMLY&R and Wunderman Thompson, we have forged a new path as a growth partner that is part creative agency, part consultancy, and part technology powerhouse. Our global family now encompasses over 30,000 employees across 150+ offices in 64 markets, each contributing to a culture that values connection, belonging, and the power of differences. We deliver end-to-end solutions that result in revolutionary work.

VML is seeking a data-driven, results-oriented Marketing Performance & Insights Lead to join our extended marketing team. In this pivotal role, you'll serve as the central authority on marketing performance data, consolidating insights across all channels and ensuring reporting is accurate, consistent, and actionable. You will work cross-functionally with internal teams, including Media, Website, Digital, and Product Marketing, while partnering closely with the Data & Analytics team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Consolidation & Storytelling: Aggregate, validate, and reconcile performance data from multiple sources. Deliver a unified view of marketing activity and present insights that inform decision-making.
  • Insight Generation: Translate complex data into clear performance insights, trends, and campaign effectiveness reports. Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities within the funnel and customer journey.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Act as the embedded data partner for the marketing team, working closely with Consumer Banking Data & Analytics, Paid Media and analytics partners, Website analytics team, and Martech and CRM teams.
  • Governance & Accountability: Drive consistency in KPIs, measurement frameworks, and performance definitions across the marketing organization and ensure teams focus on meaningful metrics.
  • Performance Reporting: Build dashboards, scorecards, and ad hoc reports for leadership and contribute to post-campaign evaluations and quarterly reviews.

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in marketing analytics, data insights, or performance reporting.
  • Strong understanding of marketing KPIs across digital channels, CRM, media, and web.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and analytics platforms (e.g., GA4, Adobe Analytics, AppsFlyer).
  • Solid grasp of attribution models, A/B testing, and conversion tracking.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills—able to challenge constructively and influence without direct authority.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and multiple data sources, with a relentless drive for clarity and accuracy.

What Success Looks Like:

  • One reliable, trusted view of marketing performance.
  • Campaigns optimized based on evidence—not assumptions.
  • Leadership trusts the numbers and understands what's working and why.

Additional Information:
VML has adopted a hybrid approach, with teams in the office an average of four days a week. If you require accommodations or flexibility, please discuss this with the hiring team during the interview process.
