Job Summary
The IT Operations Manager will oversee the organization's IT infrastructure and ensure the seamless operation of IT services. This role involves managing a team of IT professionals, optimizing IT processes, ensuring compliance and security, and building strong relationships with vendors. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of IT systems, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance, support, and optimization of all IT systems, including networks, servers, storage, and telecommunications.
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of IT infrastructure to support business operations.
- Manage the implementation of new technologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Lead IT service delivery, ensuring that all services meet or exceed agreed-upon service levels.
- Develop and enforce IT operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage incident resolution to minimize downtime.
- Mentor and manage a team of IT professionals, conducting performance reviews and identifying training needs.
- Coordinate with HR for recruitment and onboarding of new IT staff.
- Develop and manage the IT operations budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Evaluate and manage vendor relationships and oversee the procurement of IT hardware, software, and services.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with the IT security team to implement security protocols and respond to security incidents.
- Continuously assess and improve IT processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement automation and monitoring tools to streamline IT operations.
- Prepare and present regular reports on IT operations, including performance metrics and project status updates.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related inquiries within the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT operations management, with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure and services.
