Zencargo is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join our collaborative data team. This role combines analytical and engineering expertise to deliver actionable insights and enhance supply chain data processes. You will be responsible for building data transformations that provide clean, well-tested, documented, and expertly designed solutions to empower our data users. Close collaboration with data analysts, data engineers, and software engineers is vital to ensure effective source data modeling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain advanced data models and data warehouses. Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines. Write, optimize, and review SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
- Data Solutions: Design and build data solutions to support reporting and analytics, ensuring high data quality, integrity, and security across various solutions. Participate in building dashboards and visualizations to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Solutions Lifecycle: Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, evaluate and recommend improvements in data tools, architecture, and practices for scalability and adaptability.
- Collaboration: Work with the Senior Data Engineer and data analysts to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, assisting in the creation of dashboards, reports, and KPIs.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:
- Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing.
- Enjoy working collaboratively with others, with strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Passionate about solving business and technical problems with analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, able to manage competing priorities and tackle challenges.
- Experience in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data interpretation is beneficial.
Technical Skills:
- Proven experience in data structuring, transformation, and visualization (Analytics Engineer or Data Engineer).
- Solid SQL skills, with experience optimizing queries and managing complex datasets.
- Basic Python scripting knowledge.
- Understanding of data warehouse concepts, data modeling, and building data warehouses.
- Experience with ETL/ELT data pipelines and data manipulation.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Preferred Technologies:
- Experience with GCP BI Components (BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Compute Engine), dbt, and data visualization tools (e.g., Thoughtspot, Looker, Power BI) is a plus.
