Work Conditions: Hybrid, Full-time
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Previous experience modeling, analyzing, and controlling rotary-wing aircraft.
- Experience implementing Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) software utilizing Model-Based Design best practices.
- Familiarity with common flight control stability and performance requirement sources (Mill-STD-1797, ADS-33).
- Knowledge of aircraft software and hardware certification processes (DO-178C & DO-254).
- Familiarity with safety-critical coding standards (MISRA C).
- Experience with flight testing of highly control system-dependent configurations of rotary-wing and fixed-wing unmanned systems.
- An Ultralight or Private Pilot License (PPL) is preferred.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and deploying GNC algorithms on large-scale aerial platforms.
- Strong background in control analysis, design, and implementation of embedded systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages and tools such as Matlab/Simulink, C, C++, and Python.
- Proven ability to identify, model, and simulate complex aerial systems.
- Familiarity with common system engineering processes, specifically ARP4754.
- Experience designing and managing complex aerospace systems, integrating various components such as hardware, software, and control systems.
- Preparation and support of flight test activities, analysis of flight test results.
- Experience with Software in the Loop (SIL) and Hardware in the Loop (HIL) software validation.
- Strong desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Target-oriented work style with strong analytic problem-solving skills.
