About the role:
This role will lead user research efforts for developing industry-leading AI software using cutting-edge research breakthroughs. As a UX researcher, you will conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences, along the entire development cycle, from identifying opportunities to bringing new products to market (foundational), to testing new concepts and interactive prototypes (generative), to evaluating post-launch to ensure that the products offer utility and delight to users (evaluative). Job responsibilities:
- User Insights Generation: Design and execute user research studies with external participants.
- Collect and analyze user behavior through field studies, interviews, diary studies, participatory workshops, surveys, and usability testing.
- Advocate for the user in key product and business decisions.
- Product Strategy & Execution: Conduct foundational, strategy, and evaluate research, work with stakeholders for research scoping and planning, impact product strategy and design through research.
- Create and drive a research roadmap and strategy for our products.
- Understand and incorporate technical and business requirements into research.
- Leadership & x-fn collaboration: Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentations to stakeholders.
- Align with stakeholders (UXD, PM, and Eng) on priority research needs and timelines in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Contribute to a vibrant and supportive team culture.
About you:
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with research design utilizing various methods including but not limited to usability studies, contextual inquiry, concept testing, and surveys.
- Relevant product research experience in an end-to-end, usability, or foundational/generative setting.
- Experience with every stage of research, from scoping, planning, and recruiting to execution and reporting.
- Experience integrating user research into product designs and design practices.
- Experience working closely with product manager, UX designer, and engineering to inform product direction and aligning x-fn stakeholders to research projects/priorities.
- Clear communication and analytical mindset.
Preferred experience:
- Experience researching GenAI powered products.
- A passion for creating high-quality and actionable insights in a very ambiguous and undefined space.
- Comfortable with the fast-changing priorities of shipping the first version of a product.
- Super collaborative and open to learning a new style of research and deliverable crafting.
