An AWS Technical Account Manager is a trusted advisor and cloud operations architect for our Enterprise Support customers. In this role, you will have a direct impact on helping customers gain the most value from cloud technology. You will craft and execute strategies to drive customers' adoption and use of AWS services across various products including EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFront. You will partner with iconic businesses from rising startups to large enterprises and provide advice on architecture, support strategy, project planning, and ongoing operational issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on solutions, provide technical guidance, and advocate for customers
  • Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity
  • Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges
  • Drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management
  • Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers
  • Proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS
  • Provide detailed reviews of service events and metrics, along with pre-launch planning
  • Solve a variety of problems across different customers as they migrate their workloads to the cloud
  • Uplift customer capabilities by running workshops and training sessions

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role (Technical Account Manager, Consultant, Solutions Architect, etc.)
  • Understanding of operational parameters for Compute, Storage, Networking, Databases, and Security
  • Experience with internal enterprise or customer-facing roles, capable of articulating to various audience sizes
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer focus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional experience with cloud offerings such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Programming or scripting skills (Java, Python, Perl, Ruby, C#, PHP)
  • Previous experience as a Software Engineer, Developer, or DevOps Engineer
  • Understanding of DevOps practices including Continuous Integration/Deployment and container management tools (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
