Embark on a journey with the world’s largest international airline and become a vital part of our cutting-edge information and technology team as a Principal Engineer in the Infrastructure Platform (Network). Join our Platform Engineering team, the backbone of our cloud modernization journey. We architect and engineer next-generation cloud platforms that unify control across datacentres, networks, public and private cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement and support infrastructure solutions for the group in alignment with corporate business and IT strategies.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders while taking full responsibility for the implemented solutions and operational availability of production infrastructure.
- Develop IT solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Ensure the design is robust, appropriate, and high-quality conforming to corporate standards.
- Own, manage, and maintain solution designs of complex/large projects, products, environments, or platforms.
- Provide expert technical consultancy and guidance within the technology domain.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Architecture Guiding Principles.
- Manage the End of Life replacement of equipment and/or software within the technology domain.
- Ensure operational and information security risks are identified, tracked, and mitigated promptly.
Requirements
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience working in a related IT Engineering.
- Expertise in developing, implementing, and maintaining network automation solutions.
- Strong understanding of software-defined networking (SDN) concepts and automation techniques.
- Proficiency in designing and managing multi-tenant, software-defined networking architectures.
- Experience in developing API-driven network automation workflows.
