We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Director to oversee the technical aspects of our production processes, from initial capture through to final implementation and integration. This role is critical to ensuring the seamless execution of projects, advising clients on best practices, and providing technical support across various platforms and devices. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of production workflows and will have the technical expertise to troubleshoot and optimize processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Oversight: Lead the technical aspects of production, ensuring flawless execution from capture to implementation and integration. Collaborate with creative and technical teams to align all technical requirements with the project's vision.
- Client Advisory: Advise clients on best practices, technical solutions, and methods to optimize their projects, providing expert guidance to achieve desired technical outcomes while ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Solve issues across multiple platforms and devices, delivering timely and effective solutions to maintain project continuity. Collaborate with the development team for in-depth technical support as complex issues arise.
- Technical Support for Production: Manage the processing of technical aspects of projects, including any necessary post-production work. Assist with additional project-related tasks to ensure all technical elements are functional and effective.
- Stage Management (if Required): Act as a stage manager during production or shoots, utilizing technical expertise to ensure operations run smoothly and coordinating with various departments to manage technical resources in adherence to production schedules.
Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: Extensive experience in overseeing technical aspects of production processes, including capture, post-production, and integration. Strong knowledge of various platforms, devices, and tools used in production, with effective troubleshooting skills.
- Industry Experience: 7+ years in a technical director or similar role within the production industry, managing complex technical projects including live shoots, post-production, and client advisory functions.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and creative teams. Strong problem-solving capabilities and a proactive mindset towards addressing technical challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with client platforms or similar tools is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in stage management or a related role within a production environment.

- Production/Shoots: Provide on-site technical leadership and support during production, managing technical resources and coordinating with other departments to achieve project goals.
- Post-Production: Oversee technical processes during post-production, ensuring seamless integration of all elements while providing troubleshooting and support to meet required standards.
